Kanye West has an appointment with the judge.
The rapper was charged with assault and attempted robbery after assaulting a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport on July 19.
West is accused of throwing photographer Daniel Ramos down and trying to grab his camera when the paparazzi tried to take pictures as he left the airport.
The hearing was set for Oct. 10 in court.
The prosecutor's office of Los Angeles County has decided not to press charges against West, citing the lack of "significant injuries," but the case was transferred to the prosecutor's office in the city of Los Angeles.
Ramos has also filed a complaint against West for assault and negligence. As he held his camera, he says he was thrown to the ground "with such force that he suffered injuries to his right hip, which caused pain and emotional distress."
"We are very pleased to learn that the Los Angeles District Attorney has chosen to charge for Kanye West and aggravated assault for his unwarranted attack against our customer theft, the victim of the assault on Mr. West," said Ramos's lawyer, Gloria Allred, in a press release.
"Celebrities should be treated's the same as everyone, and it is very gratifying to see that the city attorney of Los Angeles was not intimidated by the fame or fortune of Mr. West."
Representatives from West did not respond to our requests for comment, but his lawyer had previously told authorities that the interpreter Yeesus was simply trying to prevent the photographer to take a picture.
West and Kim Kardashian were seen last Thursday on their way to their new home in Los Angeles to see the progress of the renovations.
Coincidentally, this court decision falls on the same day Lamar Odom was officially charged with driving while intoxicated, following his arrest on August 30 by the traffic police.
