The 33-year-old basketball player - whose marriage to Khloe Kardashian Odom has been on the rocks in recent weeks - took to Twitter to respond to dad Joe's recent comments about his wife and her mother Kris Jenner, telling a British magazine he wishes his son had never married into the famous family.
Joe lashed out at the 29-year-old reality TV star and her family for being ''controlling'' and said they were nothing like they appeared on 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians'.
Hitting back at his father in his first public comments amid rumours of cocaine addiction and infidelity, Lamar wrote: ''He wasn't there 2 raise me. He was absent ALL of my life due to his own demons. That man wasn't even invited to my wedding. He has never met my mother in law and some of my other family. He is my downfall! (sic)''
Lamar accused his father - who has also battled drug and alcohol abuse - of passing on his addictions and said the Kardashians were the ''only'' family who have been there for him during his recent troubles.
He added: ''He disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return. They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. (sic)''
